Nina tells: "Kerttu is quite open toward strangers. She greets them
without a fuss. Her character is very kind and soft.
Smart, inventive and an easy learner. With Kerttu no
two days are alike. She's quite calm indoors. Outside
she runs with awesome desire. Very attached to her
family. Likes kids and tolerates quite a bit of
rough-housing without getting upset.

 

Kerttu is also a regular Florence Nightingale. She
studiously cares for the slightest scratch. I one of
the pics Kerttu is washing Tiuku's eyes, and also
gnaws on her claws. Cleans Tiuku's and Hiltsu's ears.
Doesn't like the vet one bit. Perhaps she's had a bad
experience sometime.

Doesn't like to be left alone. Likes car rides, as
long as she isn't left alone in the car. A bit
suspicious of some other breeds of dogs, German
Shepherds for example. Is always up for playing in the
dog park. Her best friend however is Tiuku. She likes
Hiltsu a lot, but respects the old man and does not
bother her big friend much. Pretty busy on the lead.
Big on sniffing and smelling

She's a good eater. When she gets hungry she will
carry her bowl around the apartment, usually leaving
it on Hiltsu's bed. She likes to sleep nights in the
bedroom on a mattress at the foot of the bed. Or in a
bean bag in the living-room. She never gets on Tiuku's
bed, eventhough she's never been told not to. When we
talk to Kertu, she listens closely with her head
cocked. She's really super sweet when she does that.
She rarely goes off on her own, prefering to be where
the rest of us are. All in all has proved to be a
really nice dog. "
